Join us for a unique moot court event designed to spark crucial discussions about the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence in the justice system. This involves a mock pre-trial hearing centered around the admissibility of evidence obtained almost solely through a (fictional) AI tool. The mock trial aims to explore if our current legal landscape in Aotearoa New Zealand is ready for the challenges that AI will bring, with the first event focusing on a criminal law context.

The event will include an expert witness examination, followed by oral arguments from prosecution and defence teams. We are hosted by Justice Blanchard, who will sum up and provide a preliminary decision.
